The standard model mandolin is also available as a longer neck version. The crosspiece is at the 14th fret instead of the 12th fret, and the mandolin has a slightly smaller body. All options are the same except the standard width at the nut is 28mm instead of 30mm. A 30mm nut is available as an option. This mandolin has been developed in response to customers who want the oval hole sound, but want it to feel the same as a F soundhole mandolin to play This mandolin has the typical oval soundhole sound with lots of ring and sustain. It is not a hybrid sound like many other long necked oval hole mandolins. A great deal of time and effort has been spent perfecting the sound of this instrument, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Anyway, listen to the sound clips and come to your own conclusion. |
